Sailboat Sun Odyssey 29.2 charter
With an overall length of 8.80 meters, the Sun Odyssey 29.2 is perfect for novice vacationers. Produced by the Jeanneau shipyard in 1997, this liveaboard sailboat, of which 830 were produced until 2008, is a fine example of the company's strengths in cruising. A born sailor, the 29.2 easily finds its place in the Sun Odyssey line, whose reputation is second to none.
But what really sets the Sun Odyssey 29.2 apart is its ability to accommodate four passengers, despite its size. A real challenge for the shipyard, which nevertheless succeeded in its endeavor. The result is a charming little standard two-level sailboat offering maximum volume for a family and two children.
Available in two versions (keel boat and centerboarder), this boat with one hull and living spaceis very stable in shallow water and offers a particularly pleasant life on board for a couple or a small family wishing to try their hand at pleasure sailing. Designed by Jacques Fauroux, the Sun Odyssey 29.2 has a powerful hull and an elegant line with its wide rear skirt and rather discreetly tapered deckhouse. It offers a perfect balance between performance and space.
By raising the helmsman's seat, you can access the very ergonomic cockpit, which offers enough space for you to relax with your family at anchor. With room for up to 8 people, the cockpit of the Sun Odyssey 29.2 is not at all restrictive for the various maneuvers and includes a cockpit locker, with several levels, particularly large for a boat of this size. Once closed, the sprayhood of this small cruiser offers better protection in rough seas.
Despite its small size, the boat offers a very comfortable life on board. Inside the Sun Odyssey 29.2, the whole family will quickly find their bearings and feel at ease. The comfortable and well-kept living area is oval in shape to enhance this convivial and comfortable feel. It can accommodate up to 6 people. The living room seats can be quickly converted into a berth to accommodate a last-minute guest.
The conviviality is also felt in the complete L-shaped galley, which is equipped with numerous easily accessible and very practical storage spaces. The chart table of the Sun Odyssey 29.2 is discreetly positioned in the direction of travel. Note also the skylight in the living area, emphasizing its cozy feel.
Large and comfortable, the rear cabin of the Sun Odyssey 29.2 has a wardrobe and several storage areas, and enjoys a very satisfactory amount of light thanks to an opening onto the cockpit. Separated from the living area by a partition, the forward cabin is equally bright and spacious. There is also a toilet and a simple shower room at the side of the boat. Well positioned, the portholes and hatches, similar to the Sun Odyssey-i range, guarantee excellent ventilation during hot summer days. The feeling of well-being on board the Sun Odyssey 29.2 will also be enhanced by the beautiful woodwork.
